The BeQCI was proud to organize and host a half-day event, the BeQCI Community Event, to showcase the progress of the project and to attract interest on the initiative and on the field of quantum comunication.
The event was hosted at the beautiful De Duve room in the Palais des Academies in Brussels on the 13th of September 2024, in the afternoon. The participants enjoyed a number of speakers from inside and outside the BeQCI consortium, including academic researchers, end-users and even an international guest, i.e., Ingrid Romjin, CEO and co-founder of the QKD provider Q*bird. The event was a great success and saw the participation of representatives from a wide variety of organizations, ranging from governmental entities, to academic instituions all the way to industrial organizations . The event was also a wonderful occasion to gather the community of Belgian quantum enthusiast and to network in front of a drink!
